Spring–Summer 2026: SERVICO2 Takes to the Field

Spring and summer 2026 marked an important step for SERVICO2 as field activities got underway across the project’s headwater catchments. Teams have been setting up monitoring sites, collecting the first measurements and putting the new automated greenhouse-gas chamber prototypes to the test under real field conditions. This slideshow offers a glimpse behind the scenes as SERVICO2 moves from preparation and development into field implementation across Europe.

SERVICO2 on the Move: An Active Year of Science, Collaboration and International Exchange

From Helsinki to Vienna, Windermere, Umeå and Banyoles, 2026 has been an exceptionally active year for SERVICO2. Project researchers have taken SERVICO2 and closely related science to major scientific conferences, international monitoring networks and stakeholder-oriented events across Europe, strengthening collaborations and sharing new research on carbon cycling, greenhouse gases, atmospheric deposition and the response of headwater ecosystems to global change.

SERVICO2 was represented at World Water Week 2026, one of the leading international events dedicated to water and sustainable development, through a promotional video featured at the Water4All consortium’s booth.
